ACP IS OPEN AND WORKING DILIGENTLY TO ENSURE A SAFE AND HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT
FOR OUR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES...
The CDSS (California Department of Social Services) alongside the CCLD (Community Care Licensing Division) issued a 7-page COVID-19 requirement and suggested checklist to promote safe and healthy practices in the childcare setting. Here are some policies that we are implementing at ACP:
EPP and Supplies:
- All staff wear cloth face coverings. Never place face coverings on babies or children under 2 because of
danger of suffocation. Children over the age of 2 are encouraged to wear facial coverings
- All staff wear gloves for tasks such as serving food, handling trash, or using cleaning and disinfectant
products. A new pair of gloves shall be used for each task.
Cleaning:
- Implemented procedures to frequently clean and disinfect all high-touch surfaces, such as sink knobs, toilet
handles, tables, door handles. Ex: bathrooms are cleaned after each use, kitchen table/chairs, etc. are cleaned after each meal, door knobs/handles are cleaned daily.
- Designated bin has been placed in learning space for toys that need to be cleaned, sanitized, or disinfected before being introduced back into the classroom environment.
- Toys that are difficult to clean (e.g. soft toys) have been temporarily removed from the classroom.
Arrival/Pick-up Procedures:
- Parents meet teacher at entryway (Currently, there is no entering the house).
- Face coverings must be worn at door by children and parents.
- Temperature checks and health screening at the door
- Shoes left on shoe rack outside of the house
- Hand sanitizer is given to children before entering the home.
Group Sizes:
- Groups remain in small cohorts of 10 children or less
- Groups are split into different leaning spaces
